Nuit Noir: Sculptures by Steven Hansen

Guerilla Gallery and Chat Noir present

"A Kinder [-egg] Gentler Nation"

a mini show of miniature sculptures

by Steven Hansen

Putting the "Imp" back into improvisation...

Nuit Noir is the anti- Nuit Blanche. You will not find it in your glossy bourgeois jazz festival booklet. It is not state supported. It is not planned. But it is awesome.

"A Kinder [-egg] Gentler Nation" reimagines the present as a fuzzy utopia where self-taught nerd sculptors click together bizarro-world versions of children's toys, recombining them with the "precious" collectibles of boomer and gen-x nostalgia, for no-one to see.

"A Kinder [-egg] Gentler Nation" is mixed-media: plastic junk beauty made from Kinder Egg toys, Star Wars action figures, and garbage found on the street.

"A Kinder [-egg] Gentler Nation"
at Chat Noir
32A Wilson St
Guelph, Canada

Saturday, Sept. 11 at 11:59 pm to Monday, Sept 13 at 11:59 pm.
